Located in northern California, Shalby Advanced Technologies, Inc. (SAT), was incorporated in March 2021 to provide proven and reliable total joint implants and instruments to the global market. In May 2021, SAT purchased the orthopedic implant and instrument technology, including the brand name, from Consensus Orthopedics, a company with almost 30 years’ experience in the orthopedics business. SAT is a manufacturing facility with the distinct advantage of end-to-end integration which includes R&D workrooms, machining, finishing, polishing, cleaning, quality control, sterilization, and packaging solutions. With over 30 years of combined orthopedic design and manufacturing experience, along with relentless focus on patient care, new technology and clinician outcomes, SAT is a dedicated global orthopedic company focused on Restoring Mobility and Improving Lives across the world.

Hayes Medical progressed with several technology, sales & marketing licence agreements and name changed to Consensus Orthopedics

Garrett Kiesle
Chief Operating Officer & President- Garrett Kiesle joined Shalby Advanced Technologies in November of 2022 as the President and Chief Operating Officer for all US commercial activities and global manufacturing.
- Garrett is a highly experienced healthcare leader and executive with nearly 30 years of success involving publicly traded, privately owned and private equity funded business models across medical device, pharmaceutical, durable medical equipment and population health management.
- Prior to joining Shalby Advanced Technologies, he enjoyed over 20 years with Johnson & Johnson, Kinetic Concepts/Acelity and Smith & Nephew and the remaining 10 years with small privately owned or private equity backed companies.
- Garrett holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Hospital Administration from the School of Public and Environmental Affairs at Indiana University Bloomington.

Sr. Director Supply Chain, Operations and Customer Service- An accomplished Operations Management professional with a rich experience of 23 years
- MBA from Strayer University, Certified Black Belt in Six Sigma, APICS – CSCP (Certified Supply Chain Professional), APICS – SCOR-P (Supply Chain Operations Reference- Professional)
- Held senior level positions in diverse sectors like automotive, consumer electronics and building materials and aerospace industry. Experience of working at several global positions overseeing operations in Canada, Mexico, Europe and Asia.
- Expert at streamlining planning and material purchasing process as well as customer service process, finding new suppliers and vendors for instruments and negotiating best deals. This has contributed to lower pricing to drive down cost of goods. Implemented first ever operations dashboard to track and drive performance.
- Intuitively identifies right opportunities, brings them together into a coherent whole, helps others extend their thinking, and drives material business advantage.
Gary Lim
Associate Vice President, Sales & Marketing (South-East and North Asia)- 20+ years of experience from Johnson & Johnson in sales, distribution, and international business management mainly in Orthopedics and particularly in Joint Replacement Implant business.
- Gary holds an M.B.A from the University of Southern Queensland in Australia and a double major degree in Marketing and Management from Curtin University of Technology in Perth, Australia.
